Introduction: About Me

Hi, my name is Stuart.

I want to share my consulting and training experience with you. I'm sure it will help other teachers/trainers with advice and tips to improve their teaching effectiveness and style.

Education:   Bachelor of Business Administration and a major in Computer Information Systems.  This means I know a lot about business that I use weekly  (if not daily) and I was trained in computer skills that have nearly all become obsolete.  Over time I have learned many new
computer skills and am always working to keep up with the industry.

Career:
So I started out as a  staff programmer and programmed in RPG/400 for about 13 years.

Then I became a traveling consultant for JD Edwards Enterprise Software (World, OneWorld, EnterpriseOne).  I have worked for pay in 43 of the 50 United States.  Somewhere along the line I began teaching as a industry/corporate instructor.  This was primarily for other programmers using/learning one of the JD Edwards platforms.

My career to date holds over 30 years in the computer industry with 16 years of training at the corporate level and I now teach Microsoft Office (all versions) including MS Access, Adobe Photoshop, Crystal Reports, and the list goes on and on.

So the question now becomes: "Why start this blog?"

Answer:  Actually for fun.

I'm sure some of you are thinking: "Oh, boy this is going to be as good as watching apple cores turn brown on a Saturday night!"

Well, I have a great time teaching and have learned a lot over the years.  I plan to share tips and tricks on style, content, presentation, things to look out for, classroom management and more.

So. please come along for the ride.  8-}
